Anne Arundel County offers military veterans, both retired and separated, discounts on their property taxes.
Go to https://www.aacounty.org/finance/tax-information/tax-credits-exemptions to find the instructions and forms.
Completed forms and supporting documents must be received on or before April 1st 2025 for the tax year beginning July 1, 2025.
For Veterans with a VA disability rating of 50% or more, scroll down the list and select Disabled Veterans Property Tax Credit to view the instructions and forms. (Read the instructions to see what is required to qualify.) You may qualify for either a 25% or 50% property tax discount depending on your disability rating. Note: This section also contains a provision for surviving spouses.
If you are a Retired Veteran over 65 you may qualify for a 15% property tax discount. Scroll down the list and select Retired Veterans Property Tax Credit. Then review the instructions and forms.
